I took this photo from the 26th floor of one of our high rise student dorms at Boston University. Definitely a million dollar view of this beloved city, and I’m lucky I get to enjoy it for free. =)
Since Puccini’s Tosca is only a couple of hours long and the show started early at 6:30pm (perhaps because it was a Sunday), it was a nice surprise to see the blue hour peaking just as we were leaving the opera. However, when I found a tiny island in the middle of this busy intersection that seemed a good place to set up, I was pretty horrified when the trolly came within a couple inches of me and my tripod. Oops! All’s well that ends well, though, and I’m pretty happy with how this image turned out.
Every year at the Hampden neighborhood, there is a celebration of the historic working women of Baltimore called “Honfest.” You will see a lot of beehives, curlers and 1950s style clothes. There are also always lots of dogs - and many in baby carriages - like this happy little pup! You can follow me, see my photo tips and photo ops Twitter Here and Instagram Here.
